Last week my husband and I took some time away at the Jersey Shore. The weather was cool, but beautiful; the beaches were quiet, and the prices were right at the motels, they went up $30 a night this week.
One day we went to visit the lighthouse at Barnegat Bay, “Old Barney”. They have a nice trail and walkway with signs about the plants and trees. I took some pictures, including the following with describes the local Rugosa Rose, even mentioning the nutritional benefit of Vitamin C in the rose hip.
The bushes were in full bloom when we were there, I hope you enjoy, and will have more pictures to share from our trip in the days to come.
